A long-awaited new interchange at Central Pike and Interstate 40 is officially moving forward after being added to the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s 2026 10-Year Plan, state and local leaders announced this week.
The project, estimated at $93.5 million, is expected to begin preliminary engineering in 2026, with right-of-way acquisition planned for 2027 and construction targeted for completion in 2029.
