NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Despite a voluntary recall that a Waymo spokesperson told News 2 encompasses the company’s entire fleet of autonomous vehicles, the spokesperson added “there are no disruptions to our vehicles or service in Nashville.”
News 2’s Austin, Texas sister station KXAN reported that Waymo issued a voluntary recall affecting thousands of autonomous vehicles following the driverless system’s response to flooded roadways there. The recall involved the fifth- and sixth-generation automated driving systems installed in more than 3,700 autonomous vehicles.
