Nashville leaders push to rebuild nearly 100-year-old building that housed iconic Nashville record store

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Nashville leaders are pushing for the nearly 100-year-old building that formerly housed The Groove record store be rebuilt in the same place where it was demolished.

The building was demolished earlier this year, however, it was determined that that owner did not have the permits he needed to do so.

The Metro Historic Zoning Commission ordered the owner to reconstruct the historic Calvin Avenue property to match the original. The project will be at the owner’s expense…
