Memories of Honor, a Franklin, Tennessee non-profit dedicated to the mission of making every day Memorial Day partnered with America 250 to bring ‘Boots of Honor’ to Tennessee to honor all U.S. service members killed since 9/11.

The backstory:

The Boots of Honor display — 7,470 individual combat boots, each representing a fallen service member who made the ultimate sacrifice, was on display May 16–20 at Franklin Bicentennial Park in Franklin, TN.

At the memorial, visitors walked among rows of boots, where each one is marked with a name, rank, and story of service.
