NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – A caravan of more than 100 unique automobiles will make a pit stop in New Orleans on Saturday as part of Gumball 3000, a 3,000-mile journey from Miami to Mexico City.
The rally will parade down Canal Street and Bourbon Street on Saturday night after a midday stop in Gulf Shores. The downtown route will be barricaded with police escorts, starting near Canal Street and North Claiborne Avenue, continuing down Bourbon Street, Conti Street and Royal Street, and ending at the Ritz-Carlton.
The event is free to attend and includes a music festival following the parade. Drivers are raising money for local charities…
