A Metairie nightclub had its alcoholic beverage permit suspended for two years in a rare crackdown by the Jefferson Parish Council after a shootout with a security guard took place there in March.
Vogue Bar and Cafe, a Latin club located at 2708 N. Hullen Street between Whole Foods and Copeland Tower Living, agreed to the permit suspension during a hearing last month with the Jefferson Parish Council. Jefferson Parish Council Member Hans Liljeberg, who represents Metairie, had called for the hearing after receiving complaints from surrounding businesses in response to the shooting.
