LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – Keep the rain gear around this morning, as scattered showers and storms continue to develop through the morning and into the early afternoon.
Some of the more widespread rain chances will be along and south of I-10 this morning, before a boundary lifts to the north helping to push some rain opportunities north of I-10.
While not everyone will see flooding rain, the potential is there for all of the region to see some locally heavy rainfall.
Temperatures will slowly begin to warm through the afternoon, but we’ll be well below average as highs are only heading into the upper 70s to lower 80s.
A Flood Watch remains in place through 7 a.m. Wednesday, which is why we have to stay alert for high water for the areas that see several rounds of rain.
