2 guilty of killing New Orleans man after fight at Plum Orchard gas station

An Orleans Parish jury has found two men guilty of murder more than two years after they converged to gun a man down outside a New Orleans East gas station, prosecutors said.

Larry Boudreaux, 38, was shot dead in January 2024 as he tried to escape Taurus Hale and Keilon Washington following a pre-dawn fight in the Plum Orchard neighborhood.

Jurors ended a four-day trial Thursday by finding both Hale, 29, and Washington, 38, guilty of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice. The jury also convicted Washington of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

District Judge Robin Pittman scheduled sentencing for July 17. Both men face mandatory life prison terms…
