NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Not too shabby of a day celebrating America’s 250th birthday and this evening isn’t looking too bad either…
High temperatures across southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi made it into the low 90s (with no record breaking temperatures), but it’s been “feeling” hotter with Heat Index values closer to 109 as humidity levels are on the higher side.
As for this evening’s temperatures, they will dip into the upper 80s once we get to dinnertime then down to 83-degrees by 10 p.m.
This afternoon into the evening, there will be some storms popping-up so let’s take a look at FUTURECAST for a better idea as to where and their timing:
Pop-up storms will be seen in parts of Plaquemines, Orleans, Jefferson, Lafourche and coastal Terrebonne parish around 5 p.m. then appearing along the I-10/I-12 corridor and parts of the North Shore at 7 p.m…
