The puss moth caterpillar, one of the four most common stinging caterpillars in Louisiana, is showing up again in New Orleans, right on time for their usual peak.
Though they may look like little puffs on trees, touching one can leave a painful sting, and they’re considered to be one of the most venomous caterpillars in the country.
