Mayor Helena Moreno is making shifts to her leadership team as her tenure nears its sixth-month mark, promoting two members of her communications staff.
The city’s communications director, Isis Casanova, will instead become the New Orleans Health Department’s director of health and emergency outreach, Moreno said Friday. City Press Secretary Jonah Gilmore, a former WDSU-TV news anchor, will replace Casanova and lead the communications department.
