New Orleans police turn to drones amid officer shortage

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans police say a drone program set to launch later this year will help address the department’s understaffing.

“We can put a drone up and get to you so much faster than a police car can,” New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick said at a press conference earlier this week.
