Warren Easton’s new principal wants to elevate his alma mater: ‘That’s the fun part’

Kendall McManus-Thomas has never strayed too far from Warren Easton Charter High School.

He first walked the halls as a 14-year-old freshman, staying late for band practice and student council meetings. He returned to the Canal Street campus as a student teacher, then climbed the ranks from substitute to chemistry teacher to assistant principal.
