BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Chalmette man who was arrested by New Orleans police over the summer faces charges related to financial crimes in Assumption Parish.
Nelson Encalade III, 50, was arrested in New Orleans on July 29 before he was released into the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 4.
Encalade was booked in Assumption Parish on charges of two counts of bank fraud, forgery and access device fraud and one count each of identity theft, theft valued at $4,170.21 and monetary instrument abuse…
