Terrytown man arrested, accused in Metairie fatal shooting, Jefferson Parish deputies say

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — A Terrytown man is behind bars for his alleged involvement in a fatal shooting over the weekend, Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto announced.

Deputies with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested 25-year-old Iverson Arnanda-Mena for alleged second-degree murder and an outstanding warrant.

The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept. 6, at a bar in the 2500 block of North Woodlawn Avenue.

When the JPSO arrived, they found the victim inside a vehicle near the intersection of North Woodlawn Avenue and Hearst Street, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
