New Orleans music venue The Howlin’ Wolf Sept. 10 filed suit in federal court against ticket resale giant StubHub, accusing the company of a host of unfair business practices.
Howlin’ Wolf alleges StubHub is selling tickets that don’t exist, falsely claiming ticket shortages to shows where no tickets have been sold, and using manipulative language to unfairly coerce consumers into paying above face value prices, among other allegations.
In the suit, filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the venue also asks the court to force StubHub to end these practices and award Howlin’ Wolf compensation for lost revenue and other damages…
