NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man accused of purposefully starting a fire under the Interstate 10 overpass in New Orleans East, has been arrested.
The State Fire Marshal announced Monday, Sept. 21, that 42-year-old Isaac Lee Washington was arrested and booked on charges of simple arson and resisting a police officer with force or violence.

Washington allegedly started a fire under the Interstate 10 eastbound overpass at Crowder Boulevard on Saturday, Sept. 19. New Orleans firefighters responded to the scene at 7:23 p.m. and requested the Fire Marshal’s assistance.
