A once celebrated New Orleans bartender who fell from grace when he was accused of raping a woman 10 years ago was arrested this month on a slew of drug charges, including possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, according to court records.
Matthew Steinvorth, 42, was arrested Sept. 11 and jailed on three felony and five misdemeanor counts related to the possession of marijuana, cocaine, steroids and fentanyl after New Orleans Police Department officers said they found him with drugs at a house near City Park.
Officers began investigating the St. Peter Street house earlier this month after receiving a Crimestoppers tip that Steinvorth was selling cocaine and marijuana there, NOPD officer David Miceli wrote in an arrest affidavit…
