NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Details have been released in a recent Orleans Justice Center inmate death.
Around 2:29 p.m. on Sept. 16., deputies with the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office reported an inmate on the fourth floor of the housing facility collapsed and became unresponsive.

CPR was done in an effort to revive the inmate until EMS arrived. Deputies said the inmate was stabilized and taken to University Medical Center, where they continued life saving measures.
