TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Three people were killed in a Tangipahoa Parish car crash on Monday, Sept. 28.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on the on ramp to Interstate 55 northbound from Highway 51 in Tangipahoa Parish. Three men died in the crash, the 21-year-old driver from Hammond, a 20-year-old from Slidell and a 19-year-old from New Orleans.

LSP officials said the men were traveling in a 2017 Honda Accord north on Highway 51 at a high rate of speed. The Honda traveled off the road to the left and hit a concrete support column of the elevated portion of Interstate 55.
The 21-year-old and 20-year-old died at the scene, according to the LSP. The 19-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he later died, LSP officials said…
