New Orleans city officials responded late Monday to a request for public records from lawyers for recently indicted Attorney General Liz Murrill, a spokesperson said in a statement.
Attorneys for Murrill demanded the records shortly after her July 2 indictment on 16 felony counts of public intimidation and malfeasance in office. They sought messages among council members, Mayor Helena Moreno and the special prosecutor who led the grand jury that charged her, among other records.
