Man accidentally shot at Kenner restaurant by an acquaintance during dinner, authorities say

A week after a man was shot and injured while having dinner at a Kenner restaurant, police have arrested the man they say accidentally fired the shot.

Gabriel Quinto Andino, 23, was booked Monday with negligent injuring, illegal use of a weapon and other charges related to Sept. 22 shooting, according to Kenner Police Deputy Chief Mark McCormick.

Andino was dining that night at Chilangos, 3617 Williams Blvd., Kenner. He was sitting at a table with others, including a 30-year-old acquaintance when police say he appeared to pat or adjust a handgun in his waistband…
