A pair of baggage handlers working at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport were arrested, accused of stealing a watch worth more than $79,000 from a checked bag.
Thaddeus Porter, 42, of LaPlace, and Morris Robinson, 18, of Metairie, were booked Sept. 24 with felony theft valued over $25,000, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The victim was traveling to New Orleans from Los Angeles on the morning of Sept. 24. He told authorities he packed a Patek Philippe Aquanaut watch valued at $79,050 inside a pair of shoes in his checked luggage, according to authorities…
