Chalmette man convicted of triggering fatal 7th Ward shooting after bar fight

A Chalmette man has been convicted of chasing down a father of six and shooting him dead two years ago after a fistfight at a 7th Ward bar spilled into the streets.

Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams this week announced the guilty verdict against Larry Pounds III, 29, following a three-day trial that ended Sept. 24.
