Louisiana judiciary marks 74th annual Red Mass in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS — Louisiana Supreme Court justices, members of the state judiciary, and the Louisiana State Bar Association gathered Monday at St. Louis Cathedral to observe the 74th annual Red Mass.

The traditional service is held each year on the first Monday in October to mark the beginning of the new Supreme Court term. Public officials of all faiths and members of the public joined judges and attorneys for the ceremony.
