NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – For a long list of events in New Orleans, this was filled with a lot of worry and what ifs. But Hurricane Isaias has moved east, far from the city, setting the stage for what vendors and performers at the National Fried Chicken Festival hope will be a beautiful weekend.
“Look at this weather. It could not have been a better choice, a better opportunity,” said Dale Barriere, a worker at Oh Taste and See, one of the 35 vendors at this year’s National Fried Chicken Festival. “We moved from rainy to sunny. We moved from hot to windy, what can I say? I don’t wish the hurricane on anyone, but I’m sure happy it’s not coming here.”…
