New Orleans tech company facing multiple lawsuits after data breach

New Orleans tech company IDScan.net is facing nearly two dozen lawsuits alleging it failed to protect consumers’ personal information after a data breach this year made images of millions of drivers licenses available for purchase on the dark web.

The breach, discovered last month, is being investigated by the FBI, according to representatives of the agency’s New Orleans field office.
