Carboni says Baker was tending two the two-year-old girl and her one-year-old brother on January 7 when both fell ill. EMS crews took both children to the hospital, where the two-year-old died. The one-year-old later made a full recovery and was released from the hospital. According to Carboni, toxicology lab results show the fentanyl and cocaine in the two-year-old’s sytem contributed to her death.

Carboni adds that deputies found drug paraphernalia in Baker’s home during their investigation.
