NEW ORLEANS – A 92-year-old former priest, Lawrence Hecker, who was arrested and accused of rape and kidnapping, is currently hospitalized in the ICU. Hecker’s attorney told a judge in court Friday that Hecker tested positive for COVID-19 two weeks ago and was admitted for blood pressure issues and a UTI.
