Jeff Landry’s New Orleans committee recommends spate of anti-crime measures, S&WB shakeup

The committee tapped by Gov. Jeff Landry to craft policies to reshape New Orleans has recommended a host of ideas aimed at reducing crime, including eliminating the federal consent decree with the city’s Police Department, bringing more state law enforcement to the city and sending some criminal cases to the Republican attorney general for prosecution.
