On February 3, a new marching group of educators, moms, and art supporters will shimmy and swing to raise scholarship money at their first Mardi Gras Ball. . With bright wigs and silver dresses, the sNoBalls are dancing through their first year with parades in Ponchatoula, Hammond, Mandeville, Metairie and New Orleans. Each member represents a different flavor like strawberry, green apple, and of course rainbow. Founder and director Marcia Arceneaux wanted a parade group that was based in Tangipahoa Parish and flexible in terms of meeting requirements but focused on their mission.
