GRETNA, La. ( WGNO ) — The Gretna Police Department held a news conference on Wednesday, Jan. 31, to announce the arrest of a man and a juvenile in connection to the killing of a homeless man on Jan. 12.
Leaders with the GPD said 19-year-old Maurrio Antoine was booked with principal second-degree murder. A juvenile, who wasn’t identified by the GPD, allegedly shot the gun, killing 47-year-old Ronald McClure.

Investigators said this fatal shooting may be in connection to a previous incident, where McClure stabbed the juvenile. McClure had an outstanding warrant for aggravated battery for the incident.
On Jan. 12, Antoine and the juvenile ran into McClure at the Wilty bus terminal where the juvenile allegedly shot him.
GPD officials said the two suspects were arrested at different locations, where weapons were recovered with both of them, including the gun suspected to be the murder weapon.
