NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Showers will begin in the area Saturday morning continuing through the day before stronger storms move into the area. Storms are not expected to be severe except for near the coast, but we can’t rule out some gusty winds up to 40 miles per hour and heavy rainfall that may lead to flooding farther inland. One to three inches of rain are possible across the region with isolated higher totals.
