SHREVEPORT, LA – Crime is a problem all across the state of Louisiana. In fact, it’s a nationwide problem. Governor Jeff Landry has called lawmakers into special session next month to find ways to deal with crime. Some believe one of the priorities will be to roll back changes made in 2017 with the Justice Reinvestment Act. Thousands of prisoners were freed under that program.
