The Budweiser Clydesdales “Hoof It” To The Children’s Hospital For Some Equine Cheer!

Kids at Children’s Hospital New Orleans had a special treat when they met one of Budweiser’s famed Clydesdales.

The gentle giant named Hanza was in town for the 13th annual Horses, Hops & Cops Fundraiser , which raises money for the N.O.P.D. Over the years, it’s become a tradition for a Budweiser trailer to take a trip to the hospital to brighten the young patients’ days.

The Children’s Hospital captured several heartwarming pictures from the day and posted them on Instagram. You can scroll through them below.

“What a fun day of horsin’ around with the Clydesdale horse, Hanza!” reads the caption. “Thank you to the Budweiser Clydesdales for letting our patients give some pets to one of these gentle giants.”

The photos show nurses, doctors, parents, and children petting Hanza’s face and posing beside him and smiling. The calm Clydesdale devours the attention and brings smiles to everyone’s faces.

Clydesdales can grow as tall as 19 hands, which is over six feet tall, and they can weigh over 2,000 pounds, making them one of the largest horse breeds in the world. Despite their massive stature, they’re also considered one of the most docile and calm breeds, as well.
