The Krewe of Isis is investigating a claim that one of its riders allegedly threw Confederate flag beads to a parade-goer during the group’s parade in Kenner on Saturday. Echelle Bates, a Kenner resident, was watching the parade with her daughter and 7-year-old grandson when a red and blue strand of beads was thrown near them, she said. Her daughter picked it up off the ground and realized it had the Confederate emblem.
