NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Troopers with the Louisiana State Police recovered more than 60 guns from patrols in the French Quarter during the Mardi Gras season. LSP officials said in a social media post its partnership with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries on Bourbon Street led to the recovery of 57 illegally carried guns and seven seized from patrols in the French Quarter.
