NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans appears to be one step closer to having a Trader Joe’s in the city. Developers cleared a major hurdle on Thursday during a New Orleans City Council meeting. Plans for what has been referred to as a “specialty grocery store” in Uptown New Orleans have involved demolishing the old Our Lady of Lourdes school, located at the corner of Napolean Avenue and Freret Street.
