The state and territory with the most number of Dollar General locations in the US is Texas, with 1,854 stores, which is about 9% of all Dollar General stores in the US.

According to an August 2 report from The-Sun.com, it is not yet known if Dollar General stores other than the five will also be closing in the state.
As excerpted from the report: Rather than making an official statement, these select Dollar General stores put signs on their doors to announce the closure. All five stores are located in New Orleans East and are set to close on August 14, according to Nola.com.
