ELMWOOD, La (WVUE)-Amazon is moving forward with construction on a $30-million, first-of-its-kind investment in Jefferson Parish. Heavy equipment, fill and drainage work are underway on Amazon’s property between Dickory and Al Davis Road in Elmwood. According to Amazon, the average worker’s salary will be $20.50, and employees will have benefits from day one.
