An early morning crash had driver stuck on the I-10 over the Bonnet Carre Spillway heading from Kenner to LaPlace.
Around 6:00am; Louisiana State Police finally posted, “All lanes of travel on I-10 west are now open.”
A crash involving multiple vehicles shut down the westbound lanes before 4:00am.
“There were moderate injuries in the crash.”
An helicopter arrived on the interstate to transport at least one person to the hospital around 4:30am.
Even after the roadway was reopen, it took more than an hour for traffic to get back to normal.
