Derek Carr reacts to the loss in Kansas City and injury status

After reportedly suffering an oblique injury, Derek Carr was unable to finish the game in Kansas City. The Chiefs ultimately defeated the Saints 26-13.

Carr finished the game with 165 passing yards and two touchdowns. However, he also had a costly interception on the Saints’ first drive in Chiefs territory.

Here’s what he had to say after the game.

Can you describe how you’re feeling

Derek: not good uh but you know we’ll get a MRI and all that kind of stuff tomorrow and figure it out but for me not to be out there with my guys no matter the situation it’s it takes something…..I just couldn’t go back I couldn’t do what I needed to do in the simplest form and so I asked if there was anything we could do about it and there was not enough time to be able to do that and so I would have done anything to stay out there and keep fighting but I just I couldn’t so it sucks.

Did you get hit on your last drive?

Derek: It wasn’t even the hit honestly, just when I dropped back and torqued to throw the ball…that’s when I that’s when I felt it.
