Rachel Collisson came to New Orleans by way of Texas, Wisconsin, New York, California and Dubai, where she moved with her mom and brother when she was halfway through seventh grade. Her mom couldn’t afford private schools overseas, so, for much of her education in her youth, Collisson turned to books.
