NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — The nominations are in for the 2025 Grammy Awards, and a few artists with Louisiana and New Orleans ties are on the list.
With 94 categories, seven Louisiana natives have been nominated in several categories, including Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Album, Best Spoken Word Poetry Album, Best Regional Roots Music Album, Best Song Written for Visual Media and Best Music Film.

According to the Grammy Awards website , New Orleans artist Lucky Daye has been nominated for awards in categories including Best Traditional R&B Performance with “That’s You” and Best R&B Album for “Algorithm.”
The New Orleans group Tank and the Bangas is up for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album with the band’s “The Heart, the Mind, the Soul” album.
