NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Today is a First Alert Weather Day as we monitor the storm threat across the area. Strong to severe storms will develop by late morning and will continue into the afternoon. As this line of weather develops, storms will be capable of heavy rains, gusty winds and a tornado. Even though the risk area being highlighted by the Storm Prediction Center is only marginal, I’m thinking some extra spin associated with Rafael’s old circulation could enhance the threat over us.
