New Orleans police identify suspect in fatal shooting of Cox employee

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department have identified a man who is wanted in connection with a shooting that left a Cox Communications employee dead.

The NOPD reported that officers responded to the 8000 block of Dwyer Road around 12:19 p.m. on Dec. 16, where 35-year-old Adam Brown was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds next to a work truck.

He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.

Following an investigation, NOPD detectives said they identified Jalil Williams as a suspect in the investigation.

According to the NOPD, the shooting allegedly happened during an armed robbery attempt.

Williams is wanted on charges of second-degree murder.
