Man accused of killing Cox employee tried to rob another man days earlier, police say

The man accused of shooting a Cox employee to death during an attempted armed robbery Monday had tried to rob another man at gunpoint days earlier, according to court records. Jalil Williams, 28, was booked into the Orleans Justice Center Thursday morning on counts of attempted armed robbery, armed robbery with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and second-degree murder.
