NEW ORLEANS – The Christmas trees were bright and filled with presents this Christmas morning at Covenant house as the shelter worked to keep the holiday spirit alive. “We woke up really early today, which is always awesome for Christmas. We had our presents this morning,” Covenant House resident JP said. “It was more than I was expecting. Honestly, I was just hoping for clothes because I needed clothes, a jacket. So it was, it was very what’s the word… exciting.”
