NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – A dense fog advisory is issued until 9 a.m. this morning. Sunshine arrives by the afternoon with highs in the lower 70s and winds out of the south near 10 mph.
Clear skies hold throughout the evening with clouds and some patchy fog developing overnight.
On New Year’s Eve morning, a cold front will pass though bringing drier and cooler air for the nighttime countdown. The afternoon will see mostly sunny skies, and highs near 70.
On New Year’s Day highs will struggle to break into the 60s. Sunny skies and low humidity will make it PERFECT for those visiting in from out of town for the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
