All interstates, highways reopen in the New Orleans area, Louisiana officials say

All interstates, major highways and bridges are now open in the New Orleans area three days after a rare snowstorm crippled infrastructure in the city, according to the New Orleans Police Department and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

All spans of Interstate 10 in Jefferson, Orleans & St. Charles parishes were reopen, DOTD said, including Interstate 310 from U.S. 90 to Interstate 10, Interstate 510 from the south side of the “Green Bridge” to I-10 in Orleans Parish and U.S. 90 between I-10 and Tchoupitoulas Street. The openings include the I-10 highrise, the Bonnet Carre Spillway and the Twin Span Bridge.

State officials also reopened I-10 eastbound at U.S. 61 in Ascension Parish, and according to Louisiana’s 511 traffic website, all parts of Interstate 10 were open in the state as of 4 p.m…
